Brandon Sproat called up: Mets hand top pitching prospect his MLB debut vs. Reds
The Mets are calling up Brandon Sproat to start Sunday in Cincinnati, their third pitching prospect promoted in under a month. The 24-year-old rebounded from a rough Triple-A start to post a 3.19 ERA over his last 17 outings. He replaces struggling veteran Kodai Senga as New York battles the Reds for the final NL Wild Card spot.
